Norfolk Southern provides grants to help food banks in 22 states

ATLANTA — Norfolk Southern will provide grants of $400,000 to 31 food banks in 22 states served by the railroad, the company announced this week.

“Every community is home to families impacted by food insecurity,” Kristin Wong, NS Corporate Giving Director, said in a news release. “Norfolk Southern continues to partner with over 30 food banks to feed and help those in need.”

The funds and continued partnership with these food banks will directly support local efforts to address food insecurity, as well as other initiatives to help children, families and seniors, the railroad said.
